Undergraduate Pathway in Mathematics

Do you want to study for an undergraduate degree in the United States but need to improve English language skills or test scores? A Pathway program provides academic, language and cultural support in order to succeed at a US university. Students are guaranteed progression to an undergraduate degree program after successful completion of the Pathway program. We provide full integration with domestic and international students on campus from highly trained university instructors and tutors while giving you academic support throughout your program.

* Math course is determined by Math Placement Exam and may result is MATH160 placement or pre-calculus: MATH117, 118, 124, 125, 126. Accelerated Pathway student who place into pre-calculus will be moved into the Mathematics Standard Pathway.

3-Semester Pathway

Our new 3-Semester Pathway program is designed especially for international students who want to start earning credits toward their bachelor's degree at a US university. This program offers more focus on English language preparation than our other Pathway programs. The chart below is a sample course schedule for the first term of the 3-Semester Pathway program.

Undergraduate Pathway in Mathematics

What are the progression requirements to the university's undergraduate degree program?

After successfully completing the Pathway program, you are guaranteed to enter a second year of study. This transition to university from an INTO CSU program is called progression.

You must meet the following Colorado State University Pathway progression criteria in order to progress:

  • Cumulative CSU GPA of 2.5
  • No grade lower than a C in all Pathway classes
  • No I or U grades; no unresolved W grade in a required Pathway course; no S grades, except in non-credit bearing courses and in cases of credit earned by exam
  • Submit a Pathway progression application

What are my degree options after completing the INTO CSU Pathway?

Upon successful completion of the Undergraduate Mathematics Pathway program, you will be ready to start your second year in CSU's undergraduate mathematics degree program. Successful completion of the Undergraduate Mathematics Pathway program assures you a place in the program.
