More about the INTO office

You’re about to start a life-changing journey. But, it’s not something you have to do on your own. The INTO office is the hub for international students at Nankai University. Here you’ll find friendly, multilingual staff who will help make settling into your new life in China as simple as possible. Support continues all the way through to your graduation.

The INTO office also houses a small café where you can make new friends and meet other English-speaking international students from around the world.

Facilities at Nankai University

Excited about studying abroad, but worried about how you’ll settle in? We understand it can bring a mix of emotions but between the INTO office and the wider university campus you’ll find everything you need to succeed in your studies and make the most of international student life.

Learning facilities

Each school has a dedicated IT suite, with digital resources tailored to your studies. There are wireless hotspots across the campus, including Wi-Fi zones in a number of the university’s cafes and bars – all offering free Wi-Fi so you can find flexible learning spaces to suit your style of studying.

The library collection has almost 4 million volumes of books and 30 terrabytes of e-books. As part of your orientation programme, you’ll be shown how to use the four main libraries on campus. And, further assistance is never far should you need it.

The campus book circulation service gives you access to the course-specific titles you need for a pre-booked duration, minimising the number of textbooks you’ll need to buy.

Sports facilities and clubs

Don’t want to leave your hobbies behind? Bring them with you! Nankai University has an Olympic-size swimming pool, a well-equipped outdoor stadium and a running track, as well as soccer and basketball courts. There are also over 100 tennis, table tennis and badminton courts.

You can have a go at traditional Chinese martial arts such as Kung Fu, and we recommend joining a practice of Tai Chi – known to help focus the mind, which could be highly beneficial to your studies too.

Sports are also a fantastic way to connect with new people on campus.
