Scholarships for Pathway Programmes

100% International Foundation Scholarship

INTO and Newcastle University are offering scholarships for students starting International Foundation courses in September 2017 and January 2018.

Course/s: International Foundation in Architecture
International Foundation in Biological and Biomedical Sciences
International Foundation in Business and Management
International Foundation in Humanities and Social Sciences
International Foundation in Physical Sciences and Engineering
Start dates September 2017
January 2018
Amount: 100% tuition fee (50% of this amount will be deducted from the International Foundation tuition fee and 50% will be deducted from the first year of tuition fees at Newcastle University upon progression)
Availability: 10
Eligibility: All scholarships are awarded on merit

INTO Newcastle University Vice Chancellor’s Scholarships

INTO and Newcastle University are offering scholarships for students starting International Foundation, International Year One and Graduate Diplomas courses in September 2017 and January 2018.

Foundation Progression Scholarship

Course/s: All International Foundation pathways
Start dates September 2017
January 2018
Amount: £3,000 (one year only)
Availability: 50
Eligibility: All scholarships are awarded on merit
  • Must have applied via UCAS by 30th April 2018.
  • Have an academic average mark of 70% and an EAP mark of 65.
  • Foundation students also need not only receive an offer, but also confirm Newcastle University as their confirmed first choice.
  • Hold an offer to study an Undergraduate Degree programme at Newcastle University in the academic year 2017/18.

International Year One and Graduate Diploma Progressor Scholarship

Course/s: International Year One in Business
Graduate Diploma in Business and Humanities
Start dates September 2017
January 2018
Amount: £3,000 (one year only)
Availability: 6
Eligibility: All scholarships are awarded on merit
  • Hold an offer to study an Undergraduate Degree or Masters programme at Newcastle University in the academic year 2017/18.
  • Have an academic average mark of 70% and an EAP mark of 65.

The Vice Chancellor scholarships are not open to sponsored students, or those already holding a 100% scholarship.

Conditions

Successful scholarship holders will be expected to:

  • Successfully meet all remaining conditions for entry to their chosen course
  • Maintain excellent attendance and complete all work during their course

To be considered for a scholarship, you'll need to:

  1. Apply for an eligible course
  2. Be offered a place

To apply for the scholarship you will need to:
Fill in the scholarship application form, and send with the documents below to [email protected] by 31 July (for September start) or 31 October (for January start).

  • Letter of offer
  • Latest academic transcript
  • Evidence of English proficiency
  • One page personal statement

All applications will be reviewed by a scholarship panel and successful applicants will be notified via the email address provided on the scholarship application.

Scholarships, discounts and bursaries awarded by INTO can't usually be combined. Students will be awarded the reduction that is most beneficial to them.
