More about Oregon State University

A campus rich in diversity

Located in the small town of Corvallis, OSU is a special place. Founded in 1868, it's one of only two universities in the United States to have Land Grant, Sea Grant, Space Grant and Sun Grant designations. Thus, OSU is involved with world-changing research in all 4 areas, which is something very unique among American universities.

With seven cultural centers representing different nationalities, OSU allows you to be yourself, explore other cultures and prepare for your global career.

Help make the world a better place

At OSU, we value personal development, academic success and diversity. The university's top priorities are to advance sustainable ecosystems, improve human health and wellness and promote economic growth through social progression. Staff and students work hard to make a positive impact on the world. By joining this community of researchers you will get an opportunity to change the world as well.

Participate in one of our many student organizations to develop new skills or create new experiences. The Student Experience Center, built in 2015, was designed with the student experience in mind to encourage students to take their learning outside of the classroom and think like a leader.
