Undergraduate Transfer Program

If you’ve already completed college or university-level courses and want to transfer to OSU, our Undergraduate Transfer Program (UTP) is for you. You’ll receive an estimate of transferable credits toward your degree before you start your program.

Program Overview

Have you earned credits from another college or university? Our UTP provides a customized path to earning your bachelor’s degree at OSU. You won’t repeat course work and will receive additional academic, language and cultural support to help you excel at a US university. This program has four start dates available: Fall, Spring, Winter and Summer.

Academic Requirements: If transferring from a recognized college or university with 36 quarter (24 semester) credits: 2.25 college/university GPA If transferring from a recognized college or university with 18 quarter (12 semester) credits or more: 2.25 college/university GPA
English Language Requirements:
    TOEFL iBT 75 (minimum 16 subscores) OR IELTS 6.0 (minimum 5.5 subscores) OR Academic English Level 6
4-Term: TOEFL iBT 50 OR IELTS 5.0 OR Academic English Level 3
3-Term: TOEFL iBT 60 OR IELTS 5.5 OR Academic English Level 4

Undergraduate Transfer Pathway

What are the progression requirements?

Upon successful completion of an INTO OSU Undergraduate Transfer Program and meeting university requirements for undergraduate admission, you may enter your next semester of undergraduate study at Oregon State University. This transition from an INTO OSU Undergraduate Transfer Program to a university degree program is called progression. You must meet the following INTO OSU Undergraduate Transfer Program progression criteria in order to progress to Oregon State University:

  • 2.25 cumulative GPA in the Pathway program
  • No Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory (S/U) graded courses in OSU academic course work
  • Grade of C- or better in English Composition (WR 121), Math (MTH 111 or higher) and Communication (COMM 111)
  • Minimum of 36 credits earned during Pathway program
