Graduate Pathway in Computer Forensics and Security Management

Do you want to study for a graduate degree in the United States but need to improve English language skills or test scores? A Pathway program provides academic, language and cultural support in order to succeed at a US university. Students are guaranteed progression to an undergraduate degree program through curriculum consisting of credit-earning courses. We provide full integration with domestic and international students on campus from highly trained university instructors and tutors while giving you academic support throughout the program.

Students who successfully complete an INTO UAB 2-Semester and 1-Semester Graduate Pathway program in computer forensics and security management are assured progression to a UAB graduate degree program upon submission of additional required application materials.

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent with 3.0+ GPA
  • Minimum GRE or GMAT scores, if required by desired degree program
For students with an undergraduate degree in Computer Science:
  • 4-year undergraduate degree in Computer Science, with a minimum 2.5 GPA

For students with other undergraduate degrees:
  • 4-year undergraduate degree or equivalent with a minimum 2.5 GPA
For students with an undergraduate degree in Computer Science:
  • 4-year undergraduate degree in Computer Science, with a minimum 2.5 GPA

Graduate Pathway in Computer Forensics and Security Management

What are the progression requirements to the university's graduate degree program?

After successfully completing the Pathway program, you are guaranteed to enter the graduate degree program. This transition to university from an INTO program is called progression. You must meet the following UAB Pathway Progression criteria in order to progress:

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA in graduate level courses
  • B or better in all courses
  • No grades F, C, I or W permitted

What are my degree options after completing the INTO Pathway?

You are guaranteed admission to the Master of Science in Computer Forensics and Security Management program at UAB after successfully completing the Graduate Pathway and meeting all progression requirements.
