Graduate Pathway in Curriculum & Instruction: Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics or Physics Education

Do you want to study for a graduate degree in the United States but need to improve English language skills or test scores? A Pathway program provides academic, language and cultural support in order to succeed at a US university. Students are guaranteed progression to a graduate degree program through curriculum consisting of credit-earning courses. We provide full integration with domestic and international students on campus from highly trained university instructors and tutors while giving you academic support throughout the program.

The Master of Education in Curriculum & Instruction with concentration in  Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Physics Education program is designed for leaders in education who wish to pursue advanced study. The primary objective is to prepare instructional leaders through courses in curriculum, methods, supervision, learning principles, human interaction and their chosen areas of specialization.

What are the progression requirements?

After successfully completing the Pathway program, you are guaranteed to enter your next semester of study. This transition to university from an INTO program is called progression. You must meet the following University of South Florida Pathway Progression criteria in order to progress:

  • Minimum 3.25 GPA in Pathway
  • At least one A grade in core graduate courses, and no grade lower than B
  • No Incomplete or Withdraw grades
  • GRE on file
  • Two letters of Recommendation/Reference (preferably from previous professors, employers within the field of science within the last five years of coursework or employment)
  • Statement of purpose
  • Resume or CV

What are my degree options after completing the INTO Pathway? 

You are guaranteed admission to the Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction program at USF after successfully completing the Graduate Pathway in Curriculum & Instruction with concentration in  Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Physics Education and meeting all progression requirements.
