Graduate Pathway in C&I: Instructional Technology

Do you want to study for a graduate degree in the United States but need to improve English language skills or test scores? A Pathway program provides academic, language and cultural support in order to succeed at a US university. Students are guaranteed progression to an undergraduate degree program through a curriculum consisting of credit-earning courses. We provide full integration with domestic and international students on campus from highly trained university instructors and tutors while giving you academic support throughout the program.

The Graduate Pathway in Instructional Technology offers you the chance to enhance your English and academic ability. It will prepare you to successfully pursue graduate studies at University of South Florida.

Graduate Pathway in C&I: Instructional Technology

What are the progression requirements to the university's graduate degree program?

After successfully completing the Pathway program, you are guaranteed to enter your next semester of study. This transition to university from an INTO program is called progression. You must meet the following University of South Florida Pathway Progression criteria in order to progress:

  • Minimum 3.25 GPA in Pathway
  • At least one A grade in core graduate courses, and no grade lower than B
  • No "I" or "W" grades
  • GRE score on file however, if a student has 3.25+ GPA from the Pathway program, the department will consider waiving the GRE
  • Resume
  • Statement of goals
  • 2 letters of recommendation

What are my degree options after completing the INTO Pathway

You are guaranteed admission to the master of education in curriculum and instruction in instructional technology program at USF after successfully completing the Graduate Pathway in Instructional Technology and meeting all progression requirements..

The M.Ed in instructional technology program is intended for students interested in working as instructional designers/developers or media specialist. As such, graduates may be employed in industry designing online courses, or may work as technology specialists, assisting with the integration of technology in academic environments.
