Graduate Study Abroad with English Pathway in Business

Study Abroad with English is a long-term program combining Academic English language study with the opportunity to experience undergraduate courses at USF.

Through this unique program, you will be able to earn college credits in your field of interest without having to enroll in a long-term degree program. Program length will vary depending on your needs. The program can be customized for specific academic interests.

Graduate Study Abroad with English in Business combines Academic English language study with the opportunity to experience graduate-level courses at USF's MUMA College of Business. The college’s curriculum is taught by faculty who practice what they teach by providing meaningful learning opportunities and delivering relevant knowledge to students so that they can see how it connects to their lives.

What will I study?

You will study full-time Academic English for at least one semester, depending on your level of English and your educational goal. Once you have reached the required level, you can take up to four undergraduate courses at USF.  Depending on approval by your home university (if applicable), you may also be able to gain university credit toward your home degree. The course is divided into two parts:

PART 1 (13 total credit hours hours)

  • English for International Students I (6 credits)
  • Business Communications (1 credit)
  • Graduate-level courses (6 credits)

PART 2 (12 total credit hours hours)

  • English for International Students II (6 credits)
  • Graduate-level courses (6 credits)

How do I qualify?

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: Part 1 Part 2
Academic Requirements:
  • Baccalaureate degree equivalent to a 4-year US bachelors degree
  • Baccalaureate degree equivalent to a 4-year US bachelors degree 
English Language Requirements:
  • TOEFL iBT 65+
  • IELTS 5.5 (all subscores minimum 5.0)
  • PTEA 44+
  • Completion of AE Level 5
  • TOEFL iBT 70+
  • IELTS 6.0+
  • PTEA 49+
