Combining dedicated teaching staff with a great location, brilliant resources and modern study areas, the INTO Centre will be the hub of your living and learning experience – just a 15-20 minute bus ride from the University.

From e-learning tools to extensive library facilities and resources, as well as continued support, you'll be a part of a dynamic learning environment from day one.

Learning facilities

INTO City, University of London's facilities offer a flexible approach to learning. From intimate discussion-based classes to seminars and lectures, all in contemporary surroundings. Resources include:

  • digital whiteboards connected to desktop computers in every classroom, to make lessons truly interactive
  • multipurpose lecture theatres
  • a 120-seat, university-style lecture theatre
  • state-of-the-art IT and multimedia

You'll have access to Moodle, a virtual learning environment where you can download lecture notes and course content.

Additionally, the International Foundation programme is taught mostly through the use of tablet computers (such as an iPad) to enhance your classroom experience through digital learning.

Learning Resource Centre

The Learning Resource Centre is situated on the first floor of the INTO City, University of London Centre. This is where you'll find materials to aid your studies including textbooks, DVDs, journals, CDs, newspapers, and printing and scanning facilities.<

For further study, the library is situated a 25-30 minute walk from the Centre and is home to more than 350,000 books, 25,000 journals and specialist collections. London also has the Barbican Library and City Business Library, which are easy to get to from the university.


When you're hungry, there's a café on-campus serving a selection of sandwiches, drinks and snacks – the perfect place to relax with your new friends over breakfast or lunch.

Looking for something a bit different? London is packed with a great range of restaurants, cafés and supermarkets, where you'll find everything from falafel and burgers to burritos and sushi.

University buildings

As an INTO City, University of London student, you'll also have access to the University's range of fantastic facilities:

  • Tait Building – impressive engineering facilities include motion simulators, a geotechnical centrifuge and a flight simulator.
  • College Building – specialist facilities include a TV studio, four radio studios and two digital editing newsrooms.
  • Rhind Building – with computer rooms, experimental labs and interactive lecture rooms.
  • Drysdale Building – home to the Careers Service, your one-stop-shop to discuss career options and access support to enhance your employability.
  • CitySport – the largest student sports facility in central London, with all of the modern, high-tech equipment you would expect from a new sports and fitness centre.
