Illinois State students enjoy an exciting campus community with over 400 student organizations including nearly 30 cultural clubs such as the Chinese International Association, the Indian Student Association and the United International Association.

At Illinois State University, we welcome all cultural and religious beliefs. With over 20 religious organization on campus, you will be able to find your community. Religious student organizations include: Christian Business Leaders, Hillel Jewish Student Union, St. John Paul II Catholic Newman Center, Korean Followers of Christ and Muslim Student Association.
Eating on campus
We cater to a variety of diets offering fresh, delicious and healthy meal options. On campus, you will find qualified dietitians, various special meal events and activities allowing students to experience different cuisines. Need a boost to finish your homework? Stop by our on-campus Starbucks for a cup of coffee. If you live on campus, you are automatically enrolled in our unlimited meal plan, 7 days a week to use at any of our dining halls and some flex dollars to spend in our on-campus restaurants.
A healthy lifestyle
Many of our students participate in sports on campus. Whether you want to be on the field or simply cheer the players on, you can choose to participate in one of our award-winning sports teams. Every student is also automatically a member of our state-of-the-art Student Fitness Center, which offers group classes and access to personal trainers.
Your health and wellness
Illinois State’s accredited Student Health Services is open all week, Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. When you are sick, we have everything available for you a step away, without leaving campus. Whether you have the flu or need a minor surgical procedure, our nurses and doctors are able to assist you in our on-campus health care offices. If you need medicine, our pharmacists can help you get better and to go back to class as soon as possible.
