How do I qualify?

English language requirements:

10 Weeks: From IELTS 5.5 overall (with a minimum of 5.0 in all sub-skills).*

6 Weeks: From IELTS 6.0 overall (with a minimum of 5.5 in all sub-skills).*

Age requirements: 17 years and above
Academic requirements:

Offer of a place at Newcastle University.

If you are not able to obtain the direct English language requirements for Newcastle University, Pre-sessional English has lower English language entry requirements, but still leads directly to your chosen degree in the autumn.

50% of learning hours will be delivered in real-time in our virtual classroom between 8:30am-1:00pm BST (excluding bank holidays).

50% will include pre-recorded lectures and interactive tasks, such as quizzes, group projects, presentations and writing practice.
