We are committed to helping talented and ambitious international students like you achieve their goals of studying at a world-class US university. We award scholarships for our Pathway programs in amounts that are typically up to $5,000 per year per qualified student.

Regional Scholarship

This scholarship is available for the duration of the Pathway only.

  • Qualify for Undergraduate or Graduate Pathway study
  • Letter of offer
  • Latest academic transcript
  • Evidence of English proficiency
  • 300-400 word personal statement^
  • Scholarship interview^

International Scholarship

This merit-based scholarship, offered on a first come, first served basis, is available to students who enroll directly into a degree program without completing a Pathway program first. The maximum value paid per year is $5,000.

Eligibility

  • Qualify for first-year undergraduate direct study
  • 3.0 overall GPA for graduate

All qualified applicants will automatically be considered for this scholarship.

IB Scholarship

This merit-based scholarship, offered on a first come, first served basis, is available to students who enroll directly into a degree program without completing a Pathway program first. The maximum value paid per year is $2,500.

Eligibility

  • Fully admitted to UAB as a freshman undergraduate student before March 1 on B Smart
  • Completion of the International baccalaureate diploma with a score of 24 or higher

How much money is on offer?

The amount of money available through scholarships can vary. Remember that a scholarship will only cover some of your tuition fees. You will still have to fund your remaining tuition fees and your accommodation, insurance, visa and other living costs in full. For more information, see our fees and finance page.

What is the process of applying for a scholarship?

If you receive an offer letter after submitting your application to study with us, ask your education counselor whether there is a scholarship available. All scholarships are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
