INTO Hofstra University was formed through a partnership between Hofstra University and INTO University Partnerships. INTO University Partnerships is an organization working in partnership with leading US, UK and Australian universities to invest in the development of world-class international student centers. It specializes in preparing students for undergraduate and graduate study.
INTO Hofstra welcomes international students to programs that are aimed at helping them develop English-language competence for both academic and general purposes. Our International Year One (Pathway program) allows you to begin earning credits toward your undergraduate degree even if you don’t meet the academic and English requirements for direct entry. You’ll receive additional support to move you successfully through your first year and graduate in the same amount of time as domestic students. Depending on your English language scores, you’ll enter International Year One through a customized program that lasts one or more semesters.
Our Graduate Pathway program will give you the academic foundation and essential language skills to successfully move on to your master’s degree. You’ll receive the highest level of support throughout your program, including personalized academic advising, while earning credits toward your degree.
The Pathway program is carefully designed to ensure your success throughout your studies at Hofstra University by combining academic courses with language and skills development to build a foundation for academic success.
Pathway program benefits: - Graduate on time. Joining the Pathway program does not increase the length of your degree program. This may vary for graduate programs. - Earn university credits while enhancing your English and study skills. - Full integration with American and international students starting in your first semester. - Academic advising throughout the program and individual supplemental tutoring for any subject. - Highly trained and experienced Hofstra University instructors in all your classes.
International Year One (undergraduate-level Pathway program) will allow you to graduate the same time as all Hofstra University students starting in the same semester as you. The Graduate Pathway program may add a semester of additional time toward your degree completion depending on classes available and how many classes you take each semester.
Costs vary from year to year but are generally similar to our direct entry pricing. In fact, a Pathway can often cost less than our direct entry degrees when a scholarship is applied. More details on costs can be found at www.intostudy.com/hofstra/costs and, once you progress to complete your degree program, at www.hofstra.edu/bursar/tuition-fees.html
