Shopping in St. Louis
No matter where you go in the St. Louis area, you can find great places to shop: St. Louis Galleria includes Macy’s, Dillard’s and Mark Shale, with a movie theater and dining options. Union Station is great for perusing goods at more than 80 shops in a picturesque setting at the old railroad terminal.
At Plaza Frontenac you’ll find upscale shopping and fine dining in West County. Cherokee Antique Row sits within a six-block area that includes more than 30 antique stores. Or for retail staples such as Marshall’s, Banana Republic or Cabela’s head to the St. Louis Mills located near the airport.
Getting around the city
There are a number of ways to explore all St. Louis has to offer. You can use the Metro Downtown Trolley to get around within the city. The name is a bit deceiving, as it’s actually a fleet of buses painted like trolleys. But they provide service from Forest Park (near the SLU campus) throughout the city.
To get around past the city limits, use the world-class Metro transit system, which includes the MetroLink light-rail network and MetroBus, which operates more than 70 bus routes around the area.
