Life on the City, University of London campus
University is all about studying your degree and building a career – but it’s also important to have fun too. Thankfully, both City’s university campus and the INTO Centre provide the perfect environment for both. From clubs and societies to sports facilities and faith groups, campus life at City means your social calendar is just as fulfilling as your studies.
Can I join any clubs or societies?
When you enrol with INTO, you'll automatically become a member of the City, University of London Students' Union (SU). Located next to the University’s main entrance at Northampton Square, staff from the SU can help you get involved with University activities such as:
- clubs and societies
- student media
- University Challenge television quiz show
- charity fundraising
Joining an SU club or society will help you to make new friends outside of the INTO City community. There are over 50 student societies, from Drama to Mountaineering and Bhangra to Music – so you're sure to find something you're passionate about.

Where can I go for faith support?
With such a diverse student population, the chaplaincy on City’s campus offers support to people of every faith, belief and culture – helping them practice their faith alongside their studies.
Whether you want to discuss something in confidence, or further explore your faith, there'll always be someone on hand to offer guidance and advice. We also have connections with religious groups in the wider community, should you wish to practice worship outside of campus.
Will I find my favourite food on campus?
London is a fantastic city with an amazing choice of food, including authentic cuisine from all over the globe. Both on and off campus, you’ll find a huge range of delicious options to choose from – so if your favourite food isn’t available, you’ll definitely discover a new one!
Whether you want to eat on the go or relax between classes with your new friends, the University has an on-site café, CityBar, where you can choose from a range of meals, snacks and drinks. There are vegetarian and halal options available every day – and if you have any other dietary requirements, the friendly staff will be happy to advise you.
