More about the INTO Glasgow Caledonian University Centre

The INTO Centre at Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU) is located inside the Centre for Executive Education building, right in the heart of campus. INTO Glasgow Caledonian University (INTO GCU) aims to integrate international students into the GCU community as much as possible, so the INTO Centre shares building space with other university facilities.

As soon as you walk into the INTO Centre, you’ll notice the friendly and welcoming atmosphere. You’ll find a variety of study spaces, such as quiet spaces for independent learning, large areas for group work and places to socialise with your classmates. Whether it's a game of pool, air hockey, table tennis or PlayStation, there’s always something going on here.

Outside of the INTO Centre, you have a wide variety of GCU facilities to take advantage of – including the Saltire Centre which has a five-floor library set among aerial walkways and the 24/7 computer lab to work on assignments.

Can I take an IELTS test at the University?

The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is an internationally-recogised test that assesses the English language proficiency of students who want to study in the UK, or people who want to work here. You'll take the 'Academic' test to study here.

INTO GCU is an IELTS examination centre, with exams taking place on a monthly basis. It couldn't be easier to book and sit an IELTS test!

Where can I get a refreshment in between classes?

To access computers and printing facilities or get a coffee and a snack, head down to the Real Learning Café on the ground floor of the Centre for Executive Education building. Ideal for relaxed study, this is a great location to work on essays, get together with a project group or sit down with a book.

If you're all studied-out, you can catch up with friends here between classes and get something to eat. Open from 8:30am–4pm, the trained baristas here can make you a coffee, tea or hot chocolate, and provide freshly baked pastries, sandwiches and paninis.
