We offer direct entry to almost 200 undergraduate degree programs at Hofstra University, all designed to help you on your way to a successful and satisfying career. If you need additional academic or English language preparation, we offer a range of pathways to help you progress on to your chosen degree program.
If you already meet the university's academic and English language requirements, you may be eligible to apply directly to an undergraduate or graduate degree.
International Year One
International Year One allows you to begin earning credits toward your degree even if you don’t meet the academic and English requirements for direct entry. You’ll receive additional support to move you successfully through your first year and graduate in the same amount of time as domestic students. Depending on your English language scores, you’ll enter International Year One through a customized program that lasts one or more semesters.

If you’ve already completed college or university-level courses and want to transfer to another university, our Undergraduate Transfer Program (UTP) is for you. Our advisor will help to review your transcript and plan out your classes so that you don’t repeat coursework. You’ll receive an estimate of transferable credits toward your degree before you start your program. We offer a variety of program length options, tailored to your English skills.
