Academic English
Academic English is designed for students who do not meet the English language entry requirements for an International Year One or Graduate Pathway. Upon successful completion of Academic English, students may progress to an INTO Hofstra Pathway program or apply directly to Hofstra University.
NEW: Academic English 2.0
Our updated Academic English program includes:
- Assured study plan: placement assurance for students with qualifying scores under a year old at program start
- Measured Progress: consistent growth at each level (estimated 10 TOEFL/.5 IELTS points per semester)
- Enhanced Level Transfer: level portability across our US partners
- Academic Study Plan Calculator: add your program and English scores and receive an estimated study plan showing your duration of study
Want to customize your studies to suit you? We’d love to see you on campus, but if you are unable to travel, our flexible learning options allow you to start your degree right away, wherever you are, on-campus or online.
No matter where and how you study, we guarantee the same high-quality programs and faculty and the same outcomes.
When you’re able to join us in person, we’ll make the transition to on-campus learning as smooth as possible, supporting you every step of the way. And with our partner universities carefully following COVID-19 regulations, we’ll always put your health and wellbeing first, so you can focus on what matters – your future.
