Scholarships at INTO Newcastle

Are you top of your class? At INTO Newcastle University, we are committed to awarding gifted international students with academic scholarships, helping them achieve their goals of studying at a world-class university in the UK.

With a range of generous scholarships on offer for the highest-achieving students, you could be eligible to receive up to £5,000 towards your tuition fees.

Do I qualify for a scholarship?

To find out whether you are eligible to apply, you’ll need to take a look at the requirements for each individual scholarship. If you are not eligible for one particular scholarship, there may be another that you can apply for instead.

Please be aware that successful scholarship holders will be expected to:

  • Successfully meet all remaining conditions for entry to their chosen course
  • Maintain excellent attendance and complete all work during their course

What types of scholarship are available?

International Foundation Scholarship

There are limited scholarships available to students who hold an offer for an International Foundation course at INTO Newcastle University.

Eligibility

Students must have an unconditional offer for an International Foundation pathway course at INTO Newcastle University.

Each scholarship is to the value of £10,000. You’ll receive the scholarship in two parts:

  • £5,000 or £5,000 will be deducted from your International Foundation tuition fees.
  • £5,000 or £5,000 will be paid towards your Year 1 tuition fees at Newcastle University.

To get the second part of the scholarship you must successfully progress to a degree course at Newcastle University. Scholarships are awarded in the form of a tuition fee discount, once you successfully progress from your INTO Newcastle program.

Receive one of an unlimited number of £3,000 progression scholarships.

Eligibility

Students must achieve at least 70% and EAP 65 on their pathway program.

If applying through UCAS, students must make Newcastle University their first choice – and all other published progression requirements must be met.

How much money is on offer?

The amount of money available through scholarships can vary. Remember that a scholarship will only cover some of your tuition fees. You will still have to fund your remaining tuition fees and your accommodation, insurance, visa and other living costs in full. For more information, see our fees and finance page.

What is the process of applying for a scholarship?

You can only apply for a scholarship if you have also submitted an application for one of our courses. To apply for a scholarship at INTO Newcastle, you'll need to fill out the scholarship application form, and send it – along with copies of the documents listed below – to into.marketing@ncl.ac.uk

The documents you’ll need to provide are:

  • Your offer letter
  • Your latest academic transcript
  • Evidence of your English language proficiency
  • A one-page personal statement

This scholarship will be awarded based on merit. Your application will be reviewed by a scholarship panel, and successful students will be notified via the email address provided on their application form.

Application deadlines: 30 June for September intake, and 30 November for January intake.
