Undergraduate Transfer Program

If you have already completed college or university-level courses and want to transfer to OSU, our Undergraduate Transfer Program (UTP) is for you. You'll receive an estimate of transferable credits toward your degree before you start your program.

Our UTP provides a customized path to earning your bachelor's degree at OSU. You won't repeat course work and will receive additional academic, language and cultural support to help you excel at a US university.

Degree Program Components:

  • 180 credit hour program
  • 1-term: 17 credit hours apply from UTP
  • 3-term: 47 credit hours apply from UTP
  • Credits remaining to degree depend on transfer credits applied

The International Year One 1-Term Pathway covers the first six months of your undergraduate education. It is designed for students who have a higher level of English language skills.

How do I qualify?

English language requirements:

1 Term: TOEFL 75 (16 in all subscores), IELTS 6.0 (5.5 in all subscores), Password 8, PTEA 51, Completion of Academic English Level 6, IELA 169 (162 in all subscores), or Duolingo 60.

2 Terms: TOEFL 70, IELTS 6.0, Password 7, PTEA 48, Completion of Academic English Level 5, IELA 169, or Duolingo 55.

Age requirements: 16 years and above
