With excellent industry links, facilities and experienced academics in the field, the BSc (Hons) Finance at Queen’s is a brilliant stepping stone to a financial career.
A key feature of the programme is the placement year with a financial institution, giving you hands-on experience where you can put your knowledge into practice.
The course offers a great overview of the financial industry, from investing in the stock market to making lending decisions in banks and learning about trading in currencies and derivatives.
What will I study?
All students complete modules tailored to your chosen degree subjects.
How will I be assessed?
Progress is monitored by continuous assessment of coursework and by the use of class tests. The final grade for each unit is based on a mixture of coursework and end-of-course examinations.
Assessment will be by:
- Coursework (prepared assignments, unit tests, experimental reports, computer use).

Successful completion of the International Foundation will guarantee you a place on an undergraduate degree course at Queen's University Belfast.
