Your programs at Suffolk University
Whether you're eligible to apply for direct entry, or require some additional preparation before your degree, we offer several routes to admission. With more than 60 areas of study to choose from, our students find subjects they are passionate about and that lead to rich career opportunities.
Academic English
Our Academic English program prepares you for the university degree by improving your English language skills and providing you with the academic tools you need to succeed. Students like you will learn English in and out the classroom and you will be taught by our qualified and experienced faculty. You will have a chance to practice your English during your everyday life with native speakers. On top of that, you will receive customized support for international students to help you transition to life at a US university.
Graduate Business Certificates
Graduate business certificates are designed for students who have already completed a bachelor’s program and want to elevate their business knowledge. Keep up with today’s job demands and expand your career through a specialization or pivot to a new path. Either way, you can earn your certificate in areas like business analysis, people management, sales leadership and SEO/SEM marketing in under one year.
International Year One
International Year One allows you to begin earning credits toward your degree even if you don’t meet the academic and English requirements for direct entry. You will receive additional support to help you successfully complete your first year and graduate in the same amount of time as direct entry students. Your program length is determined by your English language scores.
Transfer Program
Have you earned credits from another college or university and want to transfer to a US university? You can transfer directly into Suffolk University Boston or choose our Undergraduate Transfer Program (UTP), which is specifically designed to support international students through the process of transferring. Before your program starts, Suffolk will provide you with an estimate of credits that will transfer to the university. If you do not meet the English language entry requirements for the UTP, you can enter our Academic English program before progressing to either the UTP or direct transfer to Suffolk.
Direct Entry
If you already meet the university's academic and English language requirements, you may be eligible to apply directly to an undergraduate or graduate degree.
Direct Entry
Integrated Master's Program
If you meet the English language requirements for the graduate degree program and need additional academic and cultural support, you can apply directly to your university program and receive extra support for international students.
