Whether it's through education, exercise science or psychology, UAB social sciences are committed to improving the welfare of local and global, vulnerable populations. The School of Education is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education and the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs.
Our psychology program has routes to focus on medicine and public health. The department of Neurobiology in the School of Medicine and the psychology department come together to offer the undergraduate neuroscience program. Graduate students can pursue a joint MPH and a PhD in cognitive psychology.
