How do I qualify?
English language requirements: |
IELTS 6.0 (with a minimum of 6.0 in all subskills) or equivalent. |
Age requirements: | 16 years and above All students commencing courses on a published September start date must be 17 years old by 31 December of that calendar year. For January start dates, students must have turned 17 years old by the 31st December immediately preceding the course. |
Academic requirements: | Completion of 12 years of schooling (or local equivalent to meet the same standard) with good grades. |
Entry requirements additional information: | If you have achieved the minimum IELTS score overall but do not have the required score in writing for direct entry, you will be considered on a case-by-case basis. |

Typically held Monday to Friday between 09.00 - 17.00 excluding bank holidays. However, there may be instances where classes need to be held outside these times due to unforeseen circumstances. |
Where will it take me?
A four-year course accredited by the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), the MPharm Pharmacy combines science theory and practice for a thorough understanding of the pharmacy profession.
The course will help you develop your communications skills and ability to adapt to change, as well as help you understanding the inner workings of pharmacy as a career.
You’ll study five key areas over the four years, as well as spending time in pharmacy departments and on wards to see how situations are handled in real-life settings.
What will I study?
All students complete modules tailored to your chosen degree subjects.
How will I be assessed?
Progress is monitored by continuous assessment of coursework and by the use of class tests. Assessment will be by:
- coursework (prepared assignments, unit tests, experiment reports, computer use)
- mid-course and end-of-course examinations
- formal assessment of levels and progress in English is through NCUK's English for Academic Purposes (EAP) programme
