Campus life at the University of East Anglia

With distinctive and award-winning architecture, UEA's campus is a vibrant and inspiring place to live and study. It’s designed as a mini-city for students, so you will find everything you need for an amazing study abroad experience.

The INTO Centre is in the centre of campus, so you will be part of the University community from day one. This is a modern environment located close to all of the University's facilities, including the 24/7 library and the Students' Union.

Keep up with your fitness routine in the impressive Sportspark, or head over to the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts to embrace some culture. You'll find most things you need on campus, such as a post office, a bank, shops and the Multifaith Centre, but if you want to venture into Norwich city centre for some fun in the city, it's just a short bus journey away.

Your orientation programme

You’ll take part in an orientation programme in your first week to give you the chance to meet other students, help you settle in and give you all the information you need. You’ll be shown around the UEA campus, have your questions answered and attend social events. This is a great time to join a sports club or society to meet UEA students.

UEA Students' Union

You'll automatically become a member of the Students' Union. In Union House, you will find all sorts of facilities run by students, for students, including:

  • Unio Coffee – an ethically-focused coffee shop
  • Unio Pizza – UEA's very own pizzaria
  • barSU – two bars which host regular student events
  • The LCR – a popular nightclub and music concert venue
  • Grab n Go – a shop containing all the student essentials
  • The Hive Café – there's always something interesting going on here!
