How do I qualify?
English language requirements: |
IELTS 5.5 (with a minimum of 5.5 in writing and no less than 5.0 in other subskills) or equivalent. |
Age requirements: | 17 years and above All students commencing courses on a published September start date must be 17 years old by 31 December of that calendar year. |
Academic requirements: | Satisfactory completion of A-levels to the required standards, or first year of overseas university degree with good grades or equivalent. |

Where will it take me?

The BA (Hons) International Development programme looks at the social, economic and political dimensions of international development, allowing you to study a diverse range of subjects from economic growth to poverty and gender inequality.
The flexible approach to the course means you can study the areas you’re most interested in and build on your strengths, as well as developing skills in areas such as preparing reports, giving presentations and analysing data that will be transferable to your chosen career.

All students complete modules tailored to your chosen degree subjects.

- Humanitarian Communication
- Introduction to Development Studies
- Introduction to Economics for International Students
- Politics and International Development for International Students
- Social Anthropology and International Development for International Students
How will I be assessed?
Assessment is a combination of formal examinations and coursework, including written assignments, practical exercises, group and individual research projects, presentations and problem-solving exercises.
