Why study arts at the University of South Florida?
The College of The Arts is USF’s creative hub where students are prepared for careers in community design, art, art history, architecture, music, theatre, and dance. You will be able to practice your craft in USF’s gallery spaces, museum and performance halls as well as get involved with real-world performances and exhibitions.
Expand art with our research resources like Research in Art, the Center for Music Education Research and the Florida Center for Community Design and Research units.
USF's School of Art and Art History is home to a residency program that brings recognized professionals to campus for up to a semester to help develop teaching courses and interdisciplinary projects. It also hosts a lecture series where notable and emerging artists, scholars and arts professionals visit campus to share ideas.
USF features the works of its students in almost 300 exhibitions, concerts, stage productions and lectures each year. Many of the events are open to the public and free to attend.
USF offers eclectic internship opportunities. Students have interned at the following companies: Vogue, the Dalí Museum, the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts, Rolling Stone and the Straz Center for the Performing Arts.
