Why study engineering at the University of South Florida?
USF’s College of Engineering prides itself on its rich ideas and diversity; an important characteristic for expanding the engineering workforce to be more inclusive and for the ideas to turn into patented technology. The college has 10 undergraduate and 12 graduate majors in engineering that allow you to challenge yourself and explore your curiosity.
The faculty of the College of Engineering have cumulatively won 200+ awards in the field.
USF is the only university in Florida to receive the University Center of Exemplary Mentoring (UCEM) grant from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation. This grant has been awarded to College of Engineering and aims to create diversity in STEM through the minority PhD Program.
The following programs are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET: electrical engineering, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, computer engineering, chemical engineering and industrial engineering.
