More about the INTO University of Stirling Centre

The INTO Centre at the University of Stirling has all the facilities you'd expect from a contemporary building, located right at the centre of campus to ensure that you are part of the University community from day one.

This state-of-the-art building is where most of your classes will take place, equipped with modern learning facilities and featuring plenty of space to relax or study with friends. As an INTO student, you'll also have access to the University’s 24/7 Library Study Zone and a free membership to the impressive Sports Centre on campus.

Learning facilities

You’ll receive dedicated support and find all the academic resources you need to succeed in your studies in the INTO Centre, including:

  • a welcome desk with helpful staff, open Monday to Friday from 8:30am–5:30pm
  • a large, multipurpose lecture theatre that seats up to 110 students
  • 10 teaching rooms, each equipped with interactive electronic screens
  • an INTO Café and Restaurant serving a variety of international refreshments
  • academic counselling rooms for one-to-one student support from teachers
  • social spaces around the INTO Centre to take a break and hang out with friends
Does INTO Stirling have a library?

Access study support materials, such as books, journals and newspapers, at the Learning Resource Centre (LRC). There are also computer and printing facilities and friendly staff on-hand to help with computing issues. If you can't find a resource here, you'll also have access to the University of Stirling's Library which has thousands of books and electronic resources.

Are there facilities to prepare me for university teaching?

INTO University of Stirling's large, multipurpose lecture theatre seats up to 110 students and is the perfect opportunity for you to experience lecture-style classes before progressing to university. This flexible space also hosts student events such as presentations, open days and graduation celebrations.

Where can I find food from my country?

INTO University of Stirling's INTO Café and Restaurant, 'Umami', has a menu of exciting meals from all over the world. Prepared live at cooking stations, Umami serves fresh and healthy food, with the menu often including:

  • Indian curries
  • Thai curries
  • Malaysian curries
  • sweet and sour pork or vegetables
  • bao buns and gyozas
  • pho soups

Umami also serves Costa Coffee and cold drinks and is open Monday to Friday from 9am–5pm.
