The University of Stirling’s Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) gives the perfect balance of theory and practise through a range of innovative teaching methods. You’ll be taught by TESOL professionals who have combined experience of living and teaching in all continents of the world.

On completion, you’ll possess the knowledge and practical skills to be a confident, critically reflective, and enterprising teacher.


What will I study?

All students complete modules tailored to your chosen degree subjects.

How will I be assessed?

Assessment is both formal and informal. Informally you will receive advice and feedback throughout your programme from your teachers. You will also be assessed by a combination of examinations at the end of each semester, and coursework which may include written assignments, reports, practical exercises, group and individual research projects, presentations and problem-solving exercises.
