Scholarships at INTO University of Stirling

With a range of generous scholarships on offer, you could be eligible to receive funding to help towards your tuition fees – regardless of your background or financial circumstance.

Do I qualify for a scholarship?

To find out whether you are eligible to apply, you’ll need to take a look at the requirements for each individual scholarship. If you are not eligible for one particular scholarship, there may be another that you can apply for instead.

Please be aware that successful scholarship holders will be expected to:

  • Successfully meet all remaining conditions for entry to their chosen course.
  • Maintain excellent attendance and complete all work during their course.

What types of scholarship are available?

Regional Scholarship

If you're starting a programme in September 2020, you will be eligible for a scholarship of £4,000 when you confirm your place by 10 April 2020.

Eligibility

You must hold an offer on a programme starting by 31 October 2020 (excluding General English and Direct Entry) and be self-funding. Sponsored students are not eligible. To qualify, you must confirm your offer and pay your deposit by 10 April 2020.

Merit Progression Scholarships

You may be eligible to receive up to £3,000 off your tuition fees if you achieve a final grade of 60% or more after your first year of study.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this scholarship you must achieve a pass of over 60% at the end of your programme. There are three scholarship values available, and the amount you receive will be based on your programme pass mark:

  • £1,000 if you achieve 60-69%
  • £2,000 if you achieve 70-79%
  • £3,000 if you achieve 80% or more

Enhanced Progression Scholarship

If you're an undergraduate student, you could be eligible to receive up to a £4,000 enhanced scholarship after you successfully complete further year(s) of study at the University of Stirling (£2,000 per year).

Eligibility

You must successfully complete Year 2 and/or Year 3 of your undergraduate degree to be eligible for this scholarship. Eligibility is also based on nationality. In order to qualify for the enhanced scholarship, students must be from one of the following regions or countries: Africa, Latin America, Pakistan, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand or Vietnam. If your declared nationality is found to be inaccurate, you may not be eligible for the enhanced scholarship.

How much money is on offer?

The amount of money available through scholarships can vary. Remember that a scholarship will only cover some of your tuition fees. You will still have to fund your remaining tuition fees and your accommodation, insurance, visa and other living costs in full. For more information, see our fees and finance page.

What is the process of applying for a scholarship?

You can only apply for a scholarship if you have also submitted an application for one of our courses. To apply for a scholarship at INTO University of Stirling, you will need to fill out the scholarship application form, and send it – along with copies of the documents listed below – to into@stir.ac.uk.

The documents you’ll need to provide are:

  • your offer letter
  • your latest academic transcript
  • evidence of your English language proficiency
  • a one page personal statement

Your application will then be reviewed by a scholarship panel, and successful students will be notified via the email address provided on their application form.
