Thanks to Dubai’s excellent transport links, getting from the airport to your accommodation is straightforward.
There are two airports in Dubai you can fly into: Dubai International Airport and Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC). Both are connected to the city by buses and a modern metro system.
Most students find taxis the easiest way to travel upon arrival. Booked through the Careem or Uber app, they’re quick, convenient and affordable – and credit cards are widely accepted, including in taxis. At the airports, you’ll also find official taxi ranks, open 24/7.

Dubai has hot summers and warm winters. Pack lightweight, breathable clothing that covers your shoulders and knees. Bring comfortable shoes, a light jacket for air-conditioned buildings and sunglasses. Don't worry if you forget something – Dubai has many malls and international supermarkets where you can buy what you need.
Make sure you only pack items that you're allowed to bring into the UAE. You can find guidance on banned and restricted goods on the UAE Government website.
Dubai enjoys year-round sunshine. While summers are hot, all classrooms, malls, accommodation and public transport are air-conditioned, so you’ll always be comfortable.
Dubai is one of the safest cities in the world. Home to over 200 nationalities, it’s a welcoming and secure place to live where diversity isn’t just celebrated – it’s a way of life.
Dubai is safe for women, including those travelling alone. Women do not need to wear traditional Islamic clothing – many choose to dress as they would in other international cities, while keeping modesty in mind.
We advise arriving in Dubai during the weekend before your induction starts. You may be able to arrive earlier if your accommodation contract allows. Don’t forget to provide us with your arrival details beforehand.
