Regent Institute Middle East will apply for your student entry permit (or student visa entry approval) on your behalf.
This is a permit that will allow you to enter the UAE legally. Your entry permit is directly linked to your student visa application.
Once your entry permit is approved, you'll receive it via email from Regent Institute Middle East. This will allow you to travel to the UEA. It's valid for 60 days, during which you must enter the country and complete the remaining steps of the visa process.
When you arrive at the University Study Centre, our team will help you complete the remaining steps of the visa process as listed below.
1. Complete your medical examination
Once you’ve arrived in the UAE, you’ll need to complete a medical examination at a Ministry of Health-approved hospital or clinic. Student services will send you an email with details of the hospital or clinic where you'll be examined.
2. Apply for Emirates ID
Your Emirates ID is the proof you need to be able to stay in the UAE.
You'll need to visit one of the ICP biometric registration centers to provide your biometric details. Student Services will assist you in arranging this. Once you receive your Emirates ID card, you must carry it with you at all times.
Your visa is valid typically for 1 year, renewable depending on your course duration.
3. Health insurance
Health insurance is compulsory for all student visa holders in the UAE. This will be arranged as part of the visa process and is one of the itemized charges on your invoice.
Visa processing times are subject to the UAE Government. The visa process typically takes 15 working days to complete, but it could take longer (up to 4 weeks or more) depending on the circumstances or security checks.
