Myth 1: Sexual harassment only happens in person.
Fact: Harassment can happen online, over text, or on social media. It’s not just physical — words and images can also cause harm.
Myth 2: If they didn’t say “no,” it’s not harassment.
Fact: Consent must be clear, enthusiastic, and ongoing. Silence or lack of resistance doesn’t mean agreement.
Myth 3: Only women experience sexual harassment.
Fact: Anyone — regardless of gender, age, or background — can be a victim or perpetrator.
Myth 4: It’s just flirting — don’t take it so seriously.
Fact: Harassment is unwanted and makes someone feel uncomfortable, unsafe, or intimidated. Flirting is mutual and respectful.
Myth 5: If it really mattered, they would report it.
Fact: Many people don’t report due to fear, shame, or uncertainty. That doesn’t make their experience any less valid.
