Here to help you succeed

The Student Services team will support you in every way during your studies. For issues ranging from renewing your visa and opening a bank account, to translation and settling into the local area, our experienced staff are here to help. We’ll even help you find somewhere to eat your favourite foods!

Support with your studies

Support available to INTO students:

  • one-to-one time during your classes
  • an academic tutor that you can talk to
  • help you adapt to the UK learning culture
  • teach you how to write academically in English
  • show you how to conduct research and presentations
  • provide additional support for students with disabilities

Support available to all students at the University:

  • IT Helpdesk staff to help you with problems connecting to the internet
  • friendly library staff to help you find the books you need
  • student mentors who can offer reassurance, practical information and advice
  • free study skills workshops at the Learning Development Centre

On campus you’ll find:

  • help finding a part-time job (if your visa allows it)
  • help with careers guidance for after you graduate
  • wellbeing support from the chaplaincy team
  • help and advice on renewing your visa during our visa workshops
  • 24-hour support from residential advisors

  • airport pick-up service (at an additional cost)
