Students who are currently enrolled at Newcastle University London or who are joining Newcastle University London in January 2021, and who successfully complete their programme to the required level, will be offered guaranteed progression to a relevant business degree at the University’s campus in Newcastle in September 2021. How do I qualify?

English language requirements:

IELTS 5.5 (with a minimum of 5.5 in all subskills) or equivalent.

Age requirements: 17 years and above

All students commencing courses for the September start date must be 16 years old by 01 September of that calendar year. For the June intake for the Extended course, students must be 16 before registering at the centre. For all other start dates, students must be 16 years old by 01 September of the preceding calendar year. Therefore have turned 17 before 01 September of the year they progress to university.

Academic requirements:

An undergraduate degree with suitable grades OR diploma (3-5 years) with good grades

This course focuses on the increasing internationalisation of business and management practice. It looks at the ever-growing diversity of living and working across different cultures. You will learn the skills, competencies and knowledge necessary for working in a modern global business environment.

Covering a broad spectrum of subjects, you can study modules in Marketing, Business Strategy and Entrepreneurship among others – giving you the chance to develop your knowledge in numerous key business-related areas.

The degree will test and develop your fundamental business skills like problem solving, critical thinking and analysis. Preparing you to analyse various business issues and develop strategic approaches to solve them.


What will I study?

All students complete modules tailored to your chosen degree subjects.

How will I be assessed?

Grades from the International Graduate Diploma do not count towards your final degree, but help the University determine whether you meet the specified progression grades for direct entry to your chosen degree.

Assessment is a combination of formal examinations and assessed coursework. You are required to obtain 120 credits to complete the programme successfully. You will also have to carry out an independent research project.

Your progress will be assessed through a combination of examinations and coursework, including written assignments, reports, practical exercises, group and individual research projects, presentations and problem-solving exercises.
