Student life at INTO Manchester

Welcome to your home from home, the INTO Manchester Centre is a purpose-built learning hub made for you. This is where you'll attend your classes, meet with tutors and where you'll study much of the time. With 39 teaching rooms featuring digital whiteboards, modern computing suites and free Wi-Fi throughout - you'll be sure to have everything you need for a fantastic study experience.

The Learning Resource Centre (LRC) is a learning hot-spot with plenty of resoruces to help you with your course, or if you prefer you can find a comfortable space around the Centre to revise or relax with friends.

The INTO Manchester Centre isn't just about studying though, it's also a place catch up with your new friends. Visit the café to grab a bite to eat or a coffee, or play table football. The Centre's central location in Manchester means you can also visit restaurants or shops nearby for a break.

Making friends

While studying is very important, your social life is also a huge part of your study abroad experience. We'll make it easy for you get involved, meet new people and make friends.

Our staff will organise regular social activities and help you enjoy Manchester to the fullest. By taking part in our social programme you'll have the chance to meet other students and explore sights in Manchester and beyond.

Regular events include:

  • Various sporting activities
  • Trips to famous sights e.g. Old Trafford football stadium
  • Trips to areas of natural beauty such as the Peak District
  • Events celebrating Chinese New Year, Eid, Christmas and Halloween

Food on campus

If you're feeling hungry, our café serves a range of snacks and drinks. There's also plenty of student hangouts close by including restaurants and bars.

Health and safety

At INTO Manchester, your safety is our priority. There's a 24-hour emergency telephone helpline if you need to speak to someone outside of office hours. If you're under 18, we offer extra support including ensuring your safe transfer from the airport and checking on you every day where you live. You'll also be given a named dedicated person to contact to ensure your wellbeing.

We'll also make sure you know how to register with a doctor or contact the police, as part of your induction. Of course, if you have any questions or need help with anything during your time as an INTO student we're always here to help!
